Hey Matthew, as a fellow web series creator, I understand the complexities of the creation of the genre. Were you able to seek any success with festivals for them?

i went to 3 festivals last year and i don't know, i found them kinda boring and networking and showing opportunities to be limited. Festivals don't seem to be my scene. I'd rather put the money to enter back into my own projects and move forward.

I entered three this year so far for my show (LAWebFest, Vancouver Web Fest and Rome Web Fest) and am interested to see if the international audience digs my work. I have my eyes set on Austin and NYC (once it's announced) but I really do hope to gain more out of the networking than you've described.

well i tend to be a little shy when plopped in a situation where i'm surrounded by tons of people i don't know or have never met. I find it a bit overwhelming, but i keep working on that aspect of my personality.
That can be intimidating, but that's why I tend to go with a buddy. Worst case, I have someone to interact with and play off of when things are awkward.
