Acting : Bad Expence by Liam Lionheart

Bad Expence

Two years ago, I was offered a part on a Hollywood film by a certain director but there was a catch. He/she wanted me to pay $5000 of which I didn't have. I e-mailed back four times and said I'll be happy to audition for you however I'm not paying to be on a film. Basically it was a scam and I wouldn't go for it. I've had other bad experiences, another was for another film just to be an extra and the director gave me the address and I went, got lost asked for directions and the guy said 'you do realize it's a fake address'. Then there was a meet and greet which turned out to be fake. Three extra jobs that turned out were fake jobs. Has this world turned into the circus of con jobs? Because I'm not impressed.

D Marcus

No, this world has not turned into the circus of con jobs. There have always been and always will be people preying on others. In all businesses.

You never pay to work

Dan LaRoy

Yes, there are a lot of cons with the entertainment business. they see that some people will do anything to get famous so they exploit that. Just be careful, read reviews and as mentioned above never pay anything to get work. Other than a percentage of what you are being paid.
