I'd like to adapt a set of 12 poems about a man who spends all his money on women in Manila and then can't afford to get home... He is saved by a couple of Aussies who put him up for a week but refuse to feed him anything other than alcohol to teach him a lesson. It's not very 'poetic'! Any advice, please, anyone! Thank you.
