Denver Sound DESIGNERS? If not, then who?

I am interested in starting a dialog with and possibly meeting with someone skilled in the creation of sound effects instead of strict usage of library files. I have a low budget SciFi-Fantasy, Homage/Parody that will need it's own distinctive aural footprint. In short i need Denver's version of Ben Burtt (If that is possible). I guess we will see! If that isn't possible then who would be interested in having a chat with me about it?

Hellooooo? (echo)

Rodrigo Ramos

I'd be interested but sadly I'm not in Denver :P

Nick C. Goins Jr.

Where are you if i may ask?

Christina Horgan

Hi Nick, I'm not in Denver, I'm in Studio City, CA, however, I just finished a feature for a production company located in Boulder. I actually did the work on the movie here at home, and the production company flew me to Boulder where the movie was mixed. If this sort of arrangement is something you are open to, please contact me, let's talk!

I'm located in Mexico City Nick, you can take a look at my portfolio at www.trippsaudio.com

Hey Nick, I like your way of thinking, I try to avoid library sounds as much as possible with my sound design and record and create effects from scratch where I can... it's more fun and creative that way.

Nick C. Goins Jr.

Sounds good jim. I may be in touch.

Rusty Dunn

Get in touch with me too if you have questions about things. Lot's of logged hours....to say the least! :)

Nick, I have had the pleasure of recently working on two features for the same director who has a huge appreciation for sound... so much so, that he invites his post sound crew on location of the production during the shoot so that we can record and collect sound effects and ambiences unique to the particular movie to build an exclusive library for the film. When it comes time for post sound, we start with a unique library to the film and create for fx, backgrounds, and sound design. He uses the same production mixer and it has allowed for a great sense of camaraderie on and off set. Production sound and post production sound working together on location — we have saved the productions a butt load of money with this method... what a concept!

I live in Idaho Falls, ID which isn't much of a commute when you look at it. If you still need help with sound for your film let me know I would love to contribute!!
