Why Crowdfunding Doesn't Work For Content
Crowdfunding has worked well to raise funds in general, but what works for gadgets, games, and reptilian phalluses does not work for as well for content.

I like that there is someone out there is offering some suggestions. I have become disenchanted with crowdfunding from a potential funder's perspective. I have never attempted to crowdfund myself simply because I'm tired of great ideas and dreams with very little evidence to back up the fruition of them. A poorly produced demo with a director telling me what a great movie this will be if we have the money just doesn't get me to break open my piggy bank. I want to see other work by the actors, the director, the producer, the cinematographer. I want credentials. Why should I give project X my $5 over project Y when both are simply trying to convince me that they have what it takes to make something great in the future? I don't want to invest in a dream, I want to invest in people that make dreams a reality. Just my two cents . . . or $5 as it were.
