Set Extensions (CGI)

Hey guys, wanted to share with you some set extensions that me and my friends did for my live action film "The 3rd Letter", shot with Canon Mark II in Presidio, San Francisco, CA. Here is the film: https://vimeo.com/11339453 And here is a little comparison between what we shot and CGI/Photoshop extensions in the final film: https://vimeo.com/93447756 as you see the final shots vastly differ from what we saw in camera. Let me know if you would like to know more :) Cheers Greg

LOVE! Fabulous tension and thick, syrupy terror atmosphere....extremely well done! You have a new fan.

Jeff Jennings

Very cool. The CG brands well with the live action.

Greg, what kind of budget did this level of CGI require?

Greg Jonkajtys

Thank you. Rey, hard to tell in this case, usually this tybe of VFX shots may vary from say 1k to 10 or more thousands $. In the case of 3rd Letter, many friends contributed for free or minimal wages, plus lot of the shots I did myself.

Rey Otis

Excellent work! It really blended seamlessly into the story. Amazing suspense generated. I'd like my publisher to have a look at it, our budgets for book trailers are limited but then so is the scope of work. Thanks again Greg.
