Can you build character profiles in FD 9? By that I mean ability to put in background, traits, history, photo reference etc.

I have only recently upgraded to FD9 so I have yet to discover the answer to this. But I have always found the "Power Structure" software tool http://www.powerstructure.com/ useful for both plot and character development because "Power Structure" was developed by Stuart Voytilla, "Myth and the Movies", which highlights the importance of the "character arc". Character is always the hardest element of writing screenplays because you want readers/viewers to care about your characters, right? I guess there is no formula/tools for good writing; the best software is inside your head! You, no doubt, know this.Good luck!
Also, I found the best deal for upgrading to FD9 is the FD site; http://www.finaldraft.com/, which is for a download for $100 and they post you a disc too.
