Hi, Gang- I just received an email from a filmmaker I worked with a few months ago informing me that he liked what I did with the character ('Frank Schilke') so much, he's written an entire flashback sequence for him/me. To the tune of eleven pages! Any advice on going back in time with a character like this? It'll be an entirely new experience for me and any help is appreciated. Please check out the trailer for the serial ("Last Rites") on my videos page. Any feedback is welcome. Peace, -Frank Ondorf

That's really cool, Frank. Well done. Rewriting to show more of the character speaks volumes about your talent.

Ouch! Really Alle? Ms. Producer of the Year! "It's Just an acting job." What film producer saids that to any actor excited abt a new role they just received and the "priceless" opportunities that may follow? Shame on you for saying something so out of line, to all the hardworking actors and actresses on Stage 32 and around the world!

Thanks for all the kind words and good wishes. Peace, -Frank
Create a personal history background slate. Think of a doctor's medical history and expand it to include relationships, hopes and dreams, failures and the way all of these things have manifested in the character's wellness or illness. You can go right back to childhood if you want. Work, hobbies, community, relationships, parents, siblings, exercise, food, addictions, what did the earlier you live to achieve? Did he make it there?

Whatever you do don't over think now! Keep your character simple and honest. That's what probably worked for you in the first place and why you inspired the writer. Talk with him too about what he sees for your character but remember YOU brought the character to him so trust yourself. Congratulations that's fantastic!!!!
Stay with what u did and stay with the script
Good job!
