How to do it.

"Vagabond Halfback." The play that I have been asked to create. We (Denis [author] and Rachel Gullickson [actor]) met last night at a local pub called "Hagemeisters" in Green Bay, Wisconsin which venerates the park the Packers played home games at between 1919 and 1922. It anyone has information of play writing, please advise me. I have the screenplay that I'm working off of but I am unfamiliar with the format and nuances of writing a play. Thank you for your kindness in advance!

Try this link. A bit lengthy but it should help. Good luck. http://www.gordonstate.edu/PT_Faculty/lking/CPF_play_formatting2.pdf

Another helpful hint when transitioning from screenplay to theatre script. Find out how many scenes and how many characters(leads, supporting and even the one scene characters) are in the screenplay.

Thank you, Alle, you are such a plethora of information. Thank you for all your generous contributions to threads throughout Stage 32--I read all of them I see.

Thank you, Diane. We used Celtx with a adolescent writing project call Wakatataskenh^ (I'm Trying My Best) in 2009, and you are spot on--it's awesome.
