New To Stage 32

Hello, my name is Steve Chaney and I am a 42 year old actor, former radio dj, journalist, independent online news organization CEO/Founder, and photographer currently residing in the town of Metropolis, IL the official Home Of Superman in extreme Southern Illinois. I have had a passion for acting for about 24 years and absolutely love making movie magic. Most of my acting experience consists of extra work and bit roles and I am hoping to get into some supporting or lead roles on television or in film. I love reality television and would love to compete on the right show. As far as acting goes I absolutely love those darker roles as is common in the horror genre of films. But, I am very flexible in performing a variety of acting roles. One of the biggest challenges I have ran into with acting is getting the inside track on film projects and making some strong network connections to get involved in various film projects. I hope to one day even make my own film, but my primary objective right now is getting that screen presence and getting involved in enough projects to get an actor's reel together. I would also like to get into doing some commercial work as well as some voice-over/voice acting projects. I love doing character impersonations and can use a variety of accents. I really wish I would have discovered this site years ago, but I believe that there is a right time for everything. I consider myself to be a real go-getter and I have submitted myself to numerous film projects and some tv shows. I believe that to make it in this business you have got to be active and go after what you want instead of waiting for it to fall into your lap. I am also hugely into promoting those projects which I do get involved in. Being an online content creator/editor for an independent news organization I founded has helped me become well-versed in a variety of social media sites and crowd fundraising platforms.
