Dear Stage 32, My name is Cody Allen Shelby and I am looking and wanting to get a job on a Cruise Ship for there Entertainment Department on the Ship. I was just needing to know what types of College Degrees would be great to have under me before I start putting in applications with the different Cruise Ship Lines. And another question would be what are all of the types and tittles of jobs that are within the Entertainment on board a Cruise Ship. And please give me some Cruise Ship Lines that have great Entertainment. Thank You, Stage 32

My GF and I were talking about this the other day. We came to the conclusion it is called, 'educational inflation'. Where an AA is just OK and soon a BA will be the new HS diploma, which will pay like a HS diploma. Hence the inflation. The Cost Vs the Pay. FWIW I know catering directors for Major Hotels in Posh areas, who have a BA in other then what they are doing. Go seek out the job you want and find out what they are using for creds to get it. I see jobs to do mundane tasks where they want a BA in Arts or 5 years or on the job doing the same thing they are asking for. That is drive for ya...LOL! Do a job for 5 years and you quit to go do it for someone else. Lose seniority and do the same thing. Or that is how you are 'framed'. IGE: "Your applications says you are an AD why are you applying for Director you are an AD....?"
