Just wanted to say hello :) I'm usually more of a lurker than anything else, though I'd like to dip my toes in here and really get started. I'd love to work for TV, and have a two pilots in the works. That said, kids movies (though are they always meant for kids only?) are fantastic. I think they have a lot more freedom, oddly enough, than some other genres. I love fantasy/sci-fi, but you can always catch me checking out the latest romcom - I can't resist!

Welcome Dawn! The best way to make your dreams come true is not dip your toes, but jump right in! The Stage 32 community is such a positive place to connect with people and learn about your craft. I truly believe if you put yourself out there great things will come of it! Sounds like you're talented and very passionate. You're going to go places!

Hiya Dawn and I hope all is going well for you with you two pilots. I agree with you as I feel kids movies are not aimed at just kids, Pixar found that balance at all age groups as dod Roald Dahl for decades before. After working in Horror and hard Drama I decided to turn my hand at kids books. I guess I wanted some of my work to show my kids. So I always stuck to the remit that both kids and adults can be entertained by the same story on different levels. I wish you all the best with your projects Dawn and don't be afraid to throw questions out there.
