Post-Production : To pay, or NOT to pay? by Isaiah Andrés Galarza

Isaiah Andrés Galarza

To pay, or NOT to pay?

Money doesn't grow on trees. There's no magical fountain from which a Director like me can pull from in order to pay what my crew is worth. Do you know what pays for the actors, breakfast, lunch, dinner, craft services, locations, expendables, permits, camera, film, sound equipment, and other crew... sometimes even just gas money, and all the other crap that comes up during Pre-production, Production and post-production??? ... whatever overtime I get. I have a 9-5 just like most people. And that's what pays for my rent, food, car, insurance, and what little I can afford on my film projects. I wish I could pay you what you're worth... I just can't get any overtime at work!
