Introduce Yourself : Screenwriter by Genevieve Heineman

Screenwriter

Hello everyone, my name is Genevieve Heineman and I am a screenwriter in Toronto. I just came back from the Screenwriter's World Conference in LA! It went great. I saw RB speak on one of the panels and that's how I heard about Stage 32. I pitched my show, Sol, to eighteen companies and thirteen asked for my one-sheet and business card. Hopefully out of those thirteen I'll get one who asks to read the script. Fingers crossed.

Boomer Murrhee

Congratulations Genevieve, I think you will find the Stage 32 community a wealth of knowledge and support. My fingers are crossed for you. lol

Genevieve Heineman

Thanks guys. I'll keep you posted and I hope to hear what's happening with you all as well.

Best of luck Genevieve. I am headed to LA myself in two days. Lead in four films picked up at festival. Let me know if you are ever in need of a strong actress. Ready and willing to dive into some new projects. Keeps us updated!!!

Kirk Johnson

Hi Genevieve! We've got an awesome cool project that we're looking for additional writers for if you're interested, it's www.intergalacticspacerangers.com This is for a 50's style science fiction television program in development. It's a serious piece of fiction like Star Trek, Stargate etc... not a cornball piece. We've got a number of industry people involved and that number is growing as we build up speed with this. Along with the Television series we're going to be producing a spin off audio series, comic strip and RPG. It's a pretty big project with a lot of potential, so hope you'll take the time to check it out and consider getting involved. Thanks and good luck with your projects :)

James David Sullivan

@GH - Were the lines long at SWW?

Genevieve Heineman

It depended on who people wanted to pitch to. There were a few where the lines were long all day.

Pamela Segger

Best of luck!

Steve Sherman

Good luck! I hope you find success! BTW, care to give us a rundown of your experiences there? :)

Sylvia Marie Llewellyn

Congratulations Genevieve. I also live in Toronto and write screenplays. Let's get together for coffee one day.

I am sorry I missed you in LA, But I would still like to work with you.

Sylvia Marie Llewellyn

Hey Josh you should post your trailer on your own thread instead of Genevieve's. You'd get more hits. Good job on the trailer.

Richard "RB" Botto

I agree. These threads are for discussions, not for hijacking and promoting one's own work. Thanks.

Diane Kryzaniak
