Congratulations to Stage32's CJ Walley

Look what came through my Amazon Studios email this morning. Meet CJ Walley, the creator of "For Your Dreams" an Amazon Studios Notable Project. For more on the project, click here: http://bit.ly/1rh2RSD Best of luck, CJ!

Thanks so much for posting this, Laurie. Had a few confusing messages over the past few hours and this explains them. I guess, since people are being encouraged to meet me, I'd better do the hoovering.

It's good to be recognized! I hope something more substantial comes of it.

CJ Walley

Thanks, Kathryn. I do rock... If drinking tea while cuddling my cats is rock and roll.

Thanks again, Laurie. It's come at a great time. Yesterday I was rewriting this script (again) and feeling so incredibly low.

Richard "RB" Botto

How awesome is this?! Man, no one deserves it more, CJ. I know your commitment. Thrilled for you, mate.

Guy McDouall

Props!

Ingrid Abrams

Congrats, CJ!!

Thanks again everyone. The Amazon promo pales into insignificance compared to the love I get from this community, it truly does. Seriously, to get messages from people letting me know they'd seen my name mentioned and to see a post on here congratulating me is so touching. For those wondering what's going on, I submitted a script to Amazon Studios early last year and a couple of weeks later it was added to their notable projects list. Which is basically their version of a studio consider list. These are amateur projects they believe have potential, but aren't quite ready to go on their development slate, i.e get optioned. So, since then, I've been working on my craft and regularly rewriting this script based on reviews and feedback. However, during this time, Amazon Studios have been seen to be doing less and less with amateur writers and more with established professionals. The general feeling has been a worry that they've given up on amateurs and there's no point submitting work to them. But this suggests otherwise. They have started to promote notable projects on their Facebook page, starting last week with TERMINAL KILL and this week featuring my project FOR YOUR DREAMS. I'm guessing that next wednesday another lucky writer will be getting some exposure. This is great news to anyone thinking of submitting work to Amazon Studios. They are reading, they are interested, and they do care about their relationships with amateur writers. I have not paid them a penny and they have given me a huge amount of exposure and motivation.
