Hi! My name is Deepti Daryanani. Whenever there's an opportunity where I have to introduce myself, I feel a little of a pressure! What should I say? I am simple, non-jazzy but my mind wants to create some fascinating lines and present myself like, " Hi I am Deepti an actor from India, who has done so and so films in Hollywood and in Indian Cinema..I am this tall and this fat! AHH.. Okay sorry! I can't continue speaking about my profile. so will just keep it simple. I am imperfect, working hard just like you, a work in progress.. and yes, I am mad, I am just an actor. Long live mad people! HA!

Seems to me you were on the right track with your humor. But it's that old self-awareness issue. When you try to be someone other than your self people know it. Then again, one sign of a good actor is convincing people he is someone else. Now I'm confused.
