Nancy Fitzgerald-Metzler

I am currently the Director of Education and Outreach at Hillbarn Theatre in Foster City, and I work as an independent contractor in video production.

I have worked extensively in the theater with both adults and youth. While my primary genre in theater is musicals, I have worked on plays as well, and am interested in doing either in my career.

En route to my current position, I taught and directed for many children's theater programs on the peninsula: Hillbarn Theatre, Broadway by the Bay Youth Conservatory, Palo Alto Children's Theater, Peninsula Youth Theater, Bowditch Middle School, San Mateo High School, Burlingame High School, Aragon High School, and Peninsula Continuation High School. I have directed and produced over 60 musicals and plays for young actors. And I am currently on the adjudicating staff of the San Jose Stage Top Honors Program.

As a graduate of UCLA, I began my career in film/television animation. I worked in commercial animation for about 15 years after college, and then started working in video production. Now I split my time between theater and video production.
