Gisela Marques

I'm a pure creative mind/soul that has been writing and directing for Theatre, TV and Web for almost two decades. Before that, I worked as a professional actress for TV Globo and Teatro Oficina. In 2002, after interpreting the character Gertrude, Hamlet's mother, I went back to studying, and got into University of São Paulo (FFLCH-USP) in order to hold a bachelor's degree in English Literature and Language. Right there, I decided to learn as much as could about Creative Writing, Theatre and Cinema. Therefore, I joined many different extracurricular courses on Dramaturgy, Genre, Psychology, TV and Screenwriting, and Directing, in general. Soon, I became a professional writer and director, working with some of the best production companies in São Paulo, and pretty amazed with how my previous professional experiences turned up to be so fundamental in the improvement of my new career. Since then, I've wrote 2 plays (both professionally staged), three movies, 4 Animation TV Series -- kids and teens, 5 Reality-docs, 2 TV Show, 3 TV Documentary Series, a few Fashion Programs, and a LOT of content for the Web, mainly branded, because I worked (and still do, as a freelancer) for a Advertising Agency/Producer Company that creates content for Digital Medias. Besides being very creative, I'm also very focused and meticulous person. I work hard from first briefing to final delivery, making sure that all my projects are executed in their best, possible way. I appreciate listening to my clients and I enjoy helping them to reach their goals, because they become my goals, from minute one. I welcome any collaborative environment, I really do, but I have no problem in creating things, on my own, at home.
