Screenwriting has always been the dream. I just didn’t know it. I was born in a small town in northern Greece. So. Yeah. Also, I’m gay.
Greece doesn’t even have a screenwriting tradition so I got a BA in Theater Studies, and went to drama school at LAMDA in London (and the Paris Conservatoire).
When I moved to NYC, I acted but also edited, was Special Projects Manager, you name it. And traveled, from the Galapagos to North Korea. And loved and all that.
When it dawned on me screenwriting was a thing, I thought it’d all come pouring out. Cue countless books, workshops, writers’ groups and here I am!
Since moving to LA, I’ve worked on a few projects, read for a few contests, got the hang of it.
I’ve always been an outsider. And then I lost my entire family. And there’s nothing like tragedy to make you feel like an outsider most of all.
So that’s what I write about. Death, grief, reversal of fortune, trying to find your place in the world. But, like, also funny. Cause it’s life, after all.
