Sandra Ray

Hi there! My name is Sandra. I am an artist, screenwriter, and dreamer extraordinaire! ;)
My life was turned upside down when I lost my husband to a sudden heart attack. I lost myself, and I lost my way. It has been a difficult and long swim in the sea of pain. I am standing on the shore now, looking forward to learning and growing in my storytelling craft. Writing stories is what has breathed life back into my soul. I have reawakened dreams that I had given up many years ago.

I love talking about anything creative, character, art, animation, special effects, music, behind the scene, and set locations. When creatives get together and talk about their craft, there is a kind of energy that is so awesomely addictive! It is truly a wonderful and memorable experience for me.

I hope to make many long-lasting friendships and connections. With the guidance and education from Stage 32 team members, I know together, we can create fantastic, mind-blowing movies for all to enjoy!

I would say my work experience has been quite interesting. I have worked in retail, department store cash offices, and even had fun dealing Blackjack. My most cherished jobs have been as a security officer for Harrahs, Harveys, and a smaller casino, the Horizon. The people I worked alongside are top-notch. I have secured cash rooms and all parts of the casino and worked dispatch. I have also had the pleasure of working security in nightclubs and concerts. Currently, post-Covid, I create one-of-a-kind clay jewelry and am working on creating fantasy sculptures.

My education major was in criminal justice, where I had the opportunity to participate in internships for the probation department and the court system. Of course, I had some fun with theatre and screenwriting courses. Since childhood, my heart beats in double time as I dream of making movies.
