About Elettra
Hi everyone, my name is Elettra Dafne, I started as a dancer at the age of twelve and since then I have been working both on sets and in post-production as actress, a.d./1st a.d., continuity, screenwriter and director for movies, tv shows, concerts, radio and commercials as freelance. Since 2010 to present I have been working exclusively for Rai. My television experience include live multicam productions and post-production programs (virtual set). Among them: two Eurovision Song Contest (Turin 2022 and Kiev 2017) - 57th Festival of Sanremo- 9 Super Quark Specials, a series of documentaries of two hours each with graphic reconstructions (in Italy, Japan and Istanbul) Rai 1 - Uno Mattina (Breakfast Tv) - Telethon (5 editions) - Dancing with the Stars. I wrote and directed the documentary "The Sound of Beauty, A Journey Behind the Scenes", a 30 minutes special about the Eurovision Song Contest aired on Rai 1.
Currently I am writing a Fantasy trilogy.
Books & Scripts:
• "Steam, Gears and Mechanical Dreams: Steampunk and New Victorians". Ucronia, anachronism and progress in a new literary genre; origins and comparison between the sci-fi literature and the Steampunk and New Victorians retro futuristic style, with particular attention to Sherlock Holmes's contemporary stories and the dystopian trend of cinema in recent years. • "Vita da Cartoni (Cartoons’ Life)": a technological and historical excursus on the origin and the evolution of animation, from magic lantern to Pixar, adapted from the documentary I wrote and directed selected at the David of Donatello Award in 2011, screened at several festivals. Roma, Tunué, 2012. Box Set.
• "Tra Suono e Immagini" (Between Sound and Images): an essay on the importance of music and sound in telling a story; from silent movies to soundtracks and music videos: sound engineers, musicians, dubbers, foley artists, musicals, rock operas, instruments, scores and interviews. The Sound of Beauty, a journey behind the scenes (

Documentary by Rai 1 writer and director The Sound of Beauty - A journey behind the scenes is a 30 minutes special about the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. Among artists, countries, cultures and traditions very different from one and other, to me this event is first of all a wonderful human experience as well as a singing one, a journey around the world. Shot over a month and a half and began when the performers had not arrived yet and the set design was "only" a project on paper, this special would like to offer a complete vision of this event, from the very beginning to the final evening. All through interviews with directors, sound engineers, directors of photography, presenters, costume designers, make-up artists and insiders who explain what their role consists of while high quality images reveal how a television shot is set up.
