About Anthony

As a shy seventeen-year-old, my career started in the radio industry after a somewhat serendipitous meeting with the station manager - I was fueling his car.

I ended up becoming the station's breakfast comedy presenter >>> fast forward 18 years and thousands of skits; radio plays, radio serials, movie reviews, commercials and a few radio stations later (most I left voluntarily; however, I was "let go" from just enough to be considered a genuine media person).

My on-air partner and I were one of three finalists for 'best on-air comedy team' for the radio industry annual awards, which was pretty cool).

I ended up leaving the media game to concentrate on developing my business skills.

I worked as a PR Manager at a casino before being mentored by an amazing woman at a PR company she owned. They showed me how the business world worked and how to get things done.

I was the CEO of a manufacturing company for a period.

I then dived into the world of consulting, where I helped launch products in various countries and swam in the ocean of private equity, evaluating commercial projects for a high-net-worth investor.

My one constant has always been my writing, and that's when I set up Pepper, No! Productions, named after our Tasmanian Devil of a dog. You may think I'm kidding, but I have pictures that show our loungeroom looking like the morning after a Charlie Sheen frat party.

Over the past six years, I've researched, wrote and brought into development an animated family/comedy/adventure feature screenplay based around insects (and Karl, a gay vegan spider who identifies as an insect).

It has an environmental theme and is called 'Fly Squad - First Strike!' We have an LOI from an Oscar-winning actress and another from a music legend.

The script is getting brilliant feedback, which is nice.

I've also written a live-action sci-fi/drama TV pilot called The Ex Ordinary, which took eighteen months of researching quantum entanglement, dark matter, dark energy, string theory, photons etc. I'll stop now as I can tell you're getting a little too excited with all the science talk.

The Ex Ordinary is a Quarterfinalists in the 2023 ScreenCraft TV Pilot Script Competition

It's a new world and universe - something original.

I always seem to get asked what the top three things my experiences have taught me are. So to save you time, they are resilience, tenacity, and the ability to know what people like.

Anyway, that's the short version of my life so far.

Next stop? Making a movie and a TV series. What could possibly go wrong?

See you on the red carpet.
