Isaiah Taylor

Isaiah Taylor is a Guyanese American comedy writer from Redlands, California. At the very young and impressionable age of 11, someone told Isaiah that he was a very good writer, and he has spent every moment since then seeking to validate those words. What began with a failed attempt at writing a novel while in high school, then a journalism degree in college, Isaiah realized that he would have more fun writing movies and television instead.

After a sheltered upbringing Isaiah fully rebelled against his mother's warning when he left for college and returned home with a Dutch, blonde wife and a son, fully ready to take on Hollywood. As a former college athlete Isaiah loves collaborating and working with a team, and as a married father of three he has learned to accept, adapt and thrive despite criticism. He is a blerd obsessed with superheroes, and has very strong opinions about all things basketball. Isaiah has developed an encyclopedic knowledge about things that absolutely don't matter, like: the 2009 SoCal Jerking scene, or the psychology of fathers living their sports fantasies through their sons.

Along with writing original pilots, Isaiah has written and produced several short films, and co-written two features. Through internships and fellowships, he has learned about all facets of the industry from development to production and through post. He currently works on the historic Fox animated comedy “Family Guy”, formerly as a Writer’s PA and now as an Executive Assistant to Kara Vallow who oversees both "Family Guy" and "American Dad".

Isaiah aspires to work in comedy television because he loves making people laugh and believes that comedy can provide a greater range of emotions for impactful storytelling.
