Hailing from Connecticut, where she was often the only Black woman in a room, Renee has always invested in untold perspectives. This dedication led her to study broadcast journalism in Philadelphia, work with marginalized youths in London, and create a documentary uncovering the sanitation issues in North Philly. Renee writes about the journey of unraveling the truth and the weight of it all once you find it.
She is the 2023 recipient of the NAACP/Paramount Fellowship, and her pilot Whistleblower (formerly known as Cold Slither) earned the Sloan Foundation Writing Award. She is in her second and final year at the University of Southern California, where she is obtaining her MFA in Writing for Screen and Television.
