SYNOPSIS:

After an unfavorable discharge from the U.S. Marine Corps., Cori Wilson, an exceptional dog handler, leaves Afghanistan for a quiet, uneventful existence training service dogs in St. Paul, Minnesota. Upon learning that local politician, Senator Brown, is proposing a bill to ban large breed dogs in his community, pit bulls in particular, Cori becomes an advocate to educate the public and save a breed of dogs that would otherwise be eradicated.She rescues Ali, a brindle pit bull from a local shelter and begins training her for a blind girl who is attending the University. Later, the blind girl becomes the victim of a brutal rape/murder and Ali is stabbed and left for dead. As soon as Cori is informed, she recues Ali once again from the animal hospital. After weeks of rehab, while on a routine walk, Ali viciously attacks a young man in a coffee shop. Ali is detained and the man is transported to the emergency room at a nearby hospital. When DNA matches that found on the victim, Ali is about to be release, but an unfortunate death occurs and the Senator is outraged. Now, more that ever, he is determined to protect his community from these fatal, large breed attacks and notifies the city of his intention to have Ali euthanized immediately.Cori meets with the Senator, in hopes of delaying his decision, but his mind is made up. Desperate, Cori seeks help from a couple of bikers that knew the blind girl, and they devise a clever plan to kidnap Ali. Now in hiding at one of the bikers, Mike's house, Ali is out of harms way for the time being, until Cori has a public debate with Senator Brown regarding his ban. Mike shows up on his Harley, with Ali in disguise, riding along in his sidecar.Following the debate, Ali attacks the Senator as he is entering his limo. Shocked and furious, the Senator has his body guard contact the police and a hair-raising chase begins. In spite of his incredible skills on his Harley, Mike is no match for the St. Paul police department... as he and Ali are caught at a roadblock outside of town. Mike is arrested and Ali is shot with a tranquilizer gun and placed in Senator Brown's limo. She is transported to Senator Brown's sedan and eventually ends up in a kennel in the Senator's basement.In the meantime, Cori is enraged with Mike, after having witnessed the attack and she pays the Senator another visit. Not knowing who she can trust or what she's getting herself into, Cori bravely risks her life as she makes a final attempt to rescue her dog and bring down the killer(s).
