Omar M’Sai moved from the San Francisco Bay Area to Manhattan in 2005 to work in theatre, film and video, having formed his primary acting skills with The Committee Theatre, a cabaret-style venue in North Beach, and studied filmmaking at College of Marin.

EXPERIENCE:
PRODUCER/DIRECTOR, Construct Theatre, New York, NY, 2012 - present: Working directly with Artistic Director Raphael Moreno, produced numerous short comedic pieces and directed the full-length play Manhattan Legal.

ACTOR, State Farm Commercial, New York, NY, 2013: principal role of the barber in a national commercial titled “Billboard” for State Farm Insurance.

ACTOR, various companies; New York, NY, 2006 - 2012: Directed and produced a monologue slam in conjunction with other members of Construct Theatre, while also performing in such off-Broadway pieces as Play or Be Played, The Last Train to SF, The Flycatchers Identity, and Painted Casket by Robert F. Bradford.

ACTOR, Court TV, Brooklyn, NY, 2005 - 2006: Working with production company Deep Focus, portrayed recurring character Detective Kinlan in an internet contest which awarded a $10,000 prize for solving the crime in a murder mystery.
