THE GHOST OF THE ROAST HOG
By Jamie Robinson

GENRE: Horror, Comedy
LOGLINE: A Extremist Vegan with anger management issues must prove to her father, the residents of her home village, and two inept dectectives from Scotland Yard, that she did not murder the local butcher, lest she be imprisoned for a crime she didn’t commit and ruin her reputation and career.

SYNOPSIS:

Peace in the picturesque Gloucestershire village of Lower Strangling is shattered when Hans Hoggunhoffer, the village’s beloved butcher, is found dead the morning after a successful Hog Roast. All roads lead to Adele Granger, the daughter of the village pub landlord and a woman involved with Vegan terrorist group Pagus, as being the likely suspect. There’s just one problem; she didn’t do it. Luck is on her side when Scotland Yard decide that hapless detective Bill Grove and his equally hapless associate Ben Fathersham are the best people for the job, But Bill is determined to prove his is worth keeping on as a detective, and so will do everything in his power to bring who he believes is the Lower Strangling Ripper to justice, which could possibly be Adele. Therefore, Adele does her own investigation, honing in on the caterer at the hog roast, due to his strange behaviour and insistence on staying in Lower Strangling long after he’s served his initial purpose. In the end, the true culprit is found and arrested, but it’s not all plain sailing for Adele.
