A Chicago native, Justin Mobley began his career in the entertainment industry writing songs for Disney, including "Whodunit" from Shake It Up, and "That's What I Said" from Let It Shine. In 2019, Justin transitioned from songwriting to acting, initially studying at Ted Sarantos School of Acting. Justin completed additional training with the Chicago Stunt Team, now known as S.E.T (Stunt Education Training), and the Acting Studio of Chicago.
Less than two years later, Justin landed his first role as a stunt performer on Chicago PD and as a co-star on an episode of Chicago Med. In his starring role in The Devil's Whiskey (2022), Mobley has received Best Actor Awards from the Best Shorts Competition film festival and the Independent Short Awards film festival. The Devil's Whiskey (2022), also produced and co-written by Mobley, has won multiple independent film awards including Best Short and Best Cinematography.
Justin's love of acting stems from a desire to fully understand himself and the complex ways in which real experiences can be expressed on screen to inspire and challenge others, while portraying characters that represent diverse and powerful human experiences. SpecifIcally, Justin wishes to use acting to advocate for mental health. Using his voice, art, and platforms to create content, Justin Mobley works to inspire, create awareness, and facilitate a deep understanding of the psychological complexities of the human condition.
