Julian Morgan

JULIAN MORGAN has travelled extensively overseas and has had a highly successful career in the security industry. He now concentrates on writing and poetry reflecting on his journey with alcohol addiction, with further campaigns under way. These were inspired by his eldest brother’s passing on Christmas Day 2020 due to cancer. Julian himself also experienced cancer last year (2022), with the tumour being successfully removed - and without having a single thought of picking up a drink.
He explains that despite the increasing understanding of mental health and its relation to drug and alcohol problems, our society still tends to have certain stereotyped views of alcoholics and addicts as being ‘down and outs’ or ‘in the gutter’, and the truth is that addiction entraps a very wide range of people. He is also motivated by the statistic that only one in seven people worldwide suffering from alcohol and drug use disorder receive treatment. This motivation was rewarded by achieving Amazon #1 for new releases in children's books on drugs and substance abuse.
Julian is a fanatical supporter of a North London premiership football team and can be spotted daily in the gym wearing t-shirts three sizes too small for him while listening to dangerous volume levels of orchestral trance. He spends the rest of his time enjoying a varied and liberated social life.
