Maxwell Hicks

Maxwell Hicks is a writer-director from Wales presently based in London after graduating from Kingston University in 2019 with an MA in Film Making.

His 2019 horror-comedy short "Doombox" won BEST HORROR TRAILER at Oregon Scream Week Spring 2020 as well as placing as finalist in the BEST INTERNATIONAL FILM and BEST ACTOR categories at the same festival.

Follow-up CLOSET, a mystery short shot on a smartphone while in quarantine during the Covid-19 Pandemic won BEST ANDROID FILM at the British Independent Cinematography Awards 2020, and placed as a semi-finalist in The Black County Two Minute Lockdown Film Festival 2020.
