About Austin

Austin van Rensburg is a 23 yearold South African screenwriter, author and freelancer. He started writing stories at 9 years old and ever since then it has stuck with him. He began a passion for writng film at 15 and since then has learnt the trade. He continues doing ghost writing and freelance, while giving film ideas to film school students, but not yet has been credited for his own work. Austin spent most of his life in homeschool, where he got a bit more breathing room to work on the art of writing, developing mainly dark or spy fiction. He admires the works of Tarantino, Christopher Nolan, Steven Spielberg and well, the list goes on. Austin has developed multiple shortfilms and recently finished his first indie feature film and looks to get it produced within this year. He has many projects in the works for the next, including a crime thriller tv show, a feel good bittersweet romance drama feature and an independant psychological thriller.
He looks to finally have his projects produced this year and hopefully make a name for himself and continue doing what he loves, entertaining people and writing.
