Minda Wei (she/they) is a queer, Chinese-Texan comedian, actor, and screenwriter based in Los Angeles. After quitting a job building the world’s #1 supercomputer, Minda now serves as script editor for Spotify Podcast’s “FOGO: Fear of Going Outside” (Seasons 1 & 2) and has spent 4 years co-directing Austin Sketch Fest, the largest sketch comedy festival in the South. Minda has won the Austin Chronicle’s “Best of Austin” Comedy Critics’ Pick, performed at comedy festivals across the country, and their writing has been featured in Slate, Bon Appetit, and GEN Magazine. She used to say "my characters blow up their lives so I don't have to," but then she got a divorce and moved cross-country after the Texas freeze almost killed her and everyone she’s ever loved. They write chaotic yet reasonable characters surviving the frenetic surreality of late-capitalism.
