About Meg

I'm a director, producer, & writer specializing in narrative production. My career in filmmaking has evolved over 24 years. I started in 1999 as a film student and PA for the Discovery Health Channel at the dawn of the "docu-series". In 2003, for my senior film project, I directed The Bunglers, an independent, self-funded, feature, heist movie shot on the streets of downtown St. Louis and debuted it at the 2004 St. Louis Film Festival. After film school, I worked as a creative consultant working with high level executives and brands during the birth and evolution of social media/influencer videos. I am a mother of four teenagers so I have had to rely on steady commercial work to sustain my family. Since 2014, I have been a freelance producer, director and writer with my partner at Halski Studio. We have produced hundreds of commercial projects as well as my own original narratives. My aim is always to create elevated stories that inspire people to explore the uncomfortable, expand in beauty, live out fantasies, adventures, and even dharma. I've worked with hall of famers, global passion brands, sag actors, environmental causes, musicians, start ups, and artists to create stories that move the world. I've created a lot of commercials that don't feel like advertising and a lot of narrative music videos, television, features and shorts that blur the line of what's real by employing high production value and stories that twist the world upside-down. I've learned that producing comes fairly easy to me, directing narratives and writing compelling scripts is what I'm most passionate about and that together there is no ceiling to what I can do. I have a record of finding fantastic cinematographers and crew all over the world. As a queer woman, it is important to me to support and elevate my fellow queer and female identifying teammates in every way I can. Creating meaningful environments where everyone has the opportunity to flex in their flow states is everything to me. I love developing film and TV scripts, then building out a team and producing it all the way through post. In 2022, I produced and directed over 40 episodic commercial projects and traveled the world. This year, I have committed to pursuing my dream of FINALLY directing TV and films in Los Angeles. I rented an apartment and I'm here for good. I've waited a long time but my dream finally feels within reach. Currently, I have a short film called Tenuto that is winning awards on the festival circuit. I'm in development on a narrative ensemble drama series written for Michael Fassbender and Naomi Watts set in Ireland. I hope to get it produced in the next two years.
