Joel Liss

We are Joel Liss, Joshua Stein, and Clara Montague. We love to make entertainment as strange and hilarious as it is thoughtful and compelling. The three of us met five years ago at Ithaca College, where the Park School of Communications gave us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the creative process. That includes our quarantine-produced web series Wormhole, an original science-fiction comedy series produced for Ithaca College Television. We also produced the short film version of Road Kill, an original horror-comedy set in the world of standup.
In 2022, we relocated to Los Angeles, where we’ve been working on our short-form horror-comedy anthology series The House on Blood Street, and pursuing screenwriting. We like to treat screenwriting like our second full-time job, averaging one original project every two months. Beyond these two projects we’re sharing with you today, we’re also developing several comedy and genre spec pilots and features, including several lower-budgeted genre scripts.
