Brandon Martinez

Growing up in Flint, Michigan, I always felt a pull towards creative pursuits and spent my childhood writing stories and making comics to sell to friends. In high school, I initially planned to pursue basketball or business, but a chance enrollment in a digital media arts class opened my eyes to my true passion for film.

Now, as I'm about to graduate from Oakland University, I'm grateful for the unexpected path that led me to discover my love for filmmaking. I've spent countless hours researching and practicing different techniques, and I'm excited to see where this passion takes me in the future. But I also recognize that pursuing a career in the arts can be challenging, especially coming from a city like Flint where opportunities are scarce. That's why I'm determined to use my talents to make a positive impact in my community.
