Hello, my name is Flavio Palmigiano, and I was born on 15 September 1992 in Rome. I studied cinematography at the Cine-TV Institute "Roberto Rossellini", but much of my growth as a director comes from self-driven learning and hands-on experience. As far back as I can remember, I’ve always devoured films, a passion that has fueled my drive to pursue and realize my own vision in filmmaking. I am also very critical of my own films; a perfectionist, and what you’ll get from me is maximum professionalism and dedication, as my purpose in life is to bring my creative vision to reality. Therefore, I don’t like to waste time—or have others waste theirs—and the only thing I ask for is trust.
I believe that all cinematic elements are essential to making a film. In my case, none of these elements are random; each is carefully studied and reflects both my vision and my style. I consider this latter as a cinema that must first and foremost reach the unconscious, while also functioning on multiple levels—philosophical, sociological, and political. I also believe that watching a film in the movie theater provides the BEST visual experience. Furthermore, I view the times in which we live as an important historical period, rich with themes and issues that can be explored to create stories that provoke reflection.
