Alesja is an Estonian director and storyteller with a passion for creating realistic stories of ordinary people in fantasy and magical worlds.
After 5 years as a cinematographer, she entered the film world as a director with a strong visual eye. She graduated from Baltic Film and Media University as a director and completed the prestigious Cannes Lions Young Academy in the Roger Hatchuel faculty.
Raised in Slavic culture but in the cold Nordic region, Alesja gained the ability to blend the mythologies of these two distinct cultures and create her own unique style of storytelling. Her stories often serve as inspiration for life, offering viewers the opportunity to escape their problems and find kindness and light.
At her age, Alesja already shoots footage that is used by major companies such as Samsung, Dell, National Geographic, and others. Collaborating with the world's leading stock company "Gorodenkoff Productions", her work continues to inspire and captivate audiences with its unique storytelling and visually stunning worlds.
She is the kind of director who always takes on challenging projects, whether it's filming in a snowstorm at -20 degrees or shooting in a small boat in the Norwegian ocean beyond the Arctic Circle (or just directing kids).
