An assassin with the ability to enter people's dreams joins a rebellious group of misfits to prevent his former master from becoming the next emperor and unleashing war across the world.

SYNOPSIS:

LETHO, a charming but cocky assassin gifted with the rare ability to enter people’s dreams and memories. The last of the Teletija Geni, telepathic dream-walker humans with striking red eyes, he hides his heritage behind false lenses. As a boy, he witnessed his entire island vanish in a blinding flash, leaving him orphaned and despised. Salvation came in the form of MASTER DESRALI, one of the Brotherhood of the Blade’s leaders, who trained Letho into a skilled and deadly killer.

Decades later, Letho infiltrates a noble treasury, assassinates its owner, and steals a mysterious rod. Markus reveals Desrali has been seeking the rod obsessively, raising Letho’s suspicion. Soon after, Desrali sends Letho alone on a “final test”: assassinate AUGUSTUS, an old, frail leader of a band of exiles, during a public concert. Armed with a poison needle and a warning not to let Augustus speak, Letho moves in, only to be intercepted by VALIRIE, Augustus’s dark-elf apprentice.

Instead of resisting, Augustus invites Letho to talk, revealing that he was once Desrali’s master. Using his power and invading his mind, Letho learns Desrali’s true ambition: to overthrow the emperor, claim the throne, invade the neighboring countries, and dispose of Letho when no longer useful. Desrali appears in person, offering Letho a place at his side if he kills Augustus. Augustus counters with a promise of freedom, equality, and answers about Letho’s lost people.

Choosing Augustus, Letho wounds Desrali, prompting the master to unleash his ultimate weapon: the Death Chaser, an undead warrior wielding twin flaming blades. A brutal street battle ensues, with Letho and Valerie barely holding the creature at bay while protecting Augustus. The crew of the ship, Lady Liberty, blasts at The Death Chaser with their cannons, covering their escape, and they sail into the vast ocean. The Death Chaser still lives, and Desrali remains at large, setting the stage for Letho’s new allegiance to Augustus and the deadly reckoning yet to come.
