COLORS OF LERA

COLORS OF LERA
By Abdusamad Shafiev

GENRE: Drama
LOGLINE:

A young office worker living in a monochrome world where the only colors flash on his smartphone screen meets a new colleague whose love of bright colors makes him rethink his perception of reality and find the strength to resist inner demons.

SYNOPSIS:

Max, a 25-year-old office worker, lives in an asexual, depressive world where the only source of emotion is movies on his smartphone. Through the screen, he finds refuge, immersing himself in vivid cinematic universes that contrast with the gray reality. His wrists are covered with scars, silent evidence of his struggle with despair.

Everything changes with the arrival of Lera, a new colleague, whose presence literally "explodes" the gray routine. Her bright dresses, unexpected remarks and insight arouse Max's interest in life outside the screen. Thanks to an accidentally dropped marker, and then to dialogues about films, he begins to notice that colors can come not only from film, but also from human relationships.

Gradually, Max gets out of the vicious circle: he draws a wave on his wrist with a marker, decides to talk to Lera in the office and finally offers to escort her home. In the end, putting the smartphone aside, he takes the first step towards a world where light does not come from the screen, but from living emotions and mutual understanding.

The script explores themes of loneliness, dependence on the virtual world, and the power of human connection, metaphorically contrasting gray reality and a cinematic palette that becomes a bridge to healing.

GREAT vision of a DIFFERENT perception as SO MANY living in mental hospitals SEE SO UNIQUE... I KNOW. I AM ONE of THOSE who have lived in & out for over 20 years. I HOPE THIS MAKES IT TO THE SCREEN.... especially since our world IS living in THAT REALITY more then NOT!!
