Ian Wilson is a screenwriter, filmmaker and actor living in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Ian began acting and doing stagehand work at the Fort Theatre in Glasgow, Scotland. Following a successful career in business and consulting, he reignited his career in the Arts. With support from Screen Nova Scotia, he completed a TV screenwriting programme under John Yorke, former BBC Head of Drama.
His screenplays and films have won or been selected at a wide range of film festivals across North America and Europe.
His social impact documentary, Deserted, was nominated for Best Documentary film at the 2002 Screen Nova Scotia awards. Ian recently appeared for four seasons as Judge Morrison in the TV show, Diggstown, which is shown on CBC and Fox.
Ian holds an MBA from York University, Toronto and has applied his business knowledge as a mentor for Arts & Business Scotland and other arts organizations.
