About Alejandro

After working in CHANNEL 9, one of the main tv stations in Buenos Aires, as outside broadcast technician/video engineer, and having attended some very important courses for my career, like cinematography at the national film union, I bought my first Betacam SP in 1998 and started working as a freelance lighting cameraman.
I completed my professional education with some other courses and attending Direction of Photography in E.N.E.R.C. (the national film school, one of the main in Latin America).
Since then I have worked as Director of photography and/or camera operator in feature films, feature and TV documentaries, short films and commercials.
As DoP/Camera in TV documentaries I have international credits. I have worked in productions i.e. for ITV (UK), NRK (Norway), CBS, HBO (USA), TURNER (USA/ARG), CANAL PLUS (SPAIN), CAPA TV , CANAL + (France), MEGA TV (Greece) , LINK TV (USA), CLASSICA TV (Italy), ZDF (Germany), and most of the main local media/production companies in Argentina.
Shot award winning documentaries like "The Ambassador" (Dir: Erling Borgen), "Ian McMillan´s Argentina" (Dir: David Beresford) and "Tainted gold" (Dir: Marit Higraff), "Mundo Bayer" (Dir.: Federico Randazzo).
During the last years I gained experience working with new media in digital cinematography as well as 16/35mm film.
"Hands on" experience with RED ONE/RED EPIC/SCARLET, ARRI ALEXA, ARRI AMIRA, Sony F5/F55, PHANTOM FLEX/HD GOLD. Almost every prosumer Panasonic/Sony HD camera, Canon DSRL cameras. 35/Super 35mm film cameras and 16/Super 16mm.
Great deal of camera operation skills: crane with remote head, long lens, steadicam, underwater and specially handheld (my favourite style).
Extensive experience covering outdoors sports: mountaneering skills. Camera operator in every moving plattform: boats, helicopters, etc.

Due to my technical background, I have been hired by the SONY local dealer to show their line of HD/Electrónic Cinematography cameras in CAPER (the main broadcast/e cinema fair in Argentina).
