BETTER LATE THAN NEVER

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER

GENRE: Horror, Comedy
LOGLINE:

After surviving notorious slashers, six strangers discover their nightmare isn't over—they've been cast in a twisted reality show where the only way to win is to turn from prey into predator before their trauma is exploited for entertainment.

SYNOPSIS:

Every Thursday night, a quirky group of trauma survivors gathers in a linoleum-floored community center basement to swap stories, sip burnt coffee, and cling to the idea of healing. There’s Ellie, hyper-vigilant and haunted; Lacey, sarcastic to a fault; Mara, burning with anger; Devon, who survives only by sheer dumb luck; and Doc Alvarez, the weary mentor.

The new guy, Troy, seems ordinary enough—until the truth emerges: he’s been planted by the Closure Syndicate, coerced by debt relief into joining their cruel experiment.

That night, the doors lock, the lights flicker, and the group’s “safe space” becomes a stage. Lake Man stalks with his harpoon, GrinJack cackles with bloody balloons, Mute Mask swings his axe in silence, Night Terror delivers monologues before lunging, and Dark Valkyrie turns murder into a performance.

Between screams and accidental escapes, the survivors bicker, stumble, and laugh in the face of horror. To outlast the Syndicate’s deadly reality show, they must flip the script—transforming from victims into predators armed with folding chairs, sarcasm, and sheer defiance.
