About B

B. R. Fleming grew up in the South in the ’60′s and was a musician in rock bands that played psychedelic rock and the music of the British invasion. After serving in the USAF as a Technical Instructor during the Vietnam War, he returned to civilian life and began a career in teaching, which he has followed since. He lives in Southern California, still plays music, and teaches classes in English Lit and Creative Writing in high school, as well as college classes in Teaching the Gifted and Talented and Drama. The first novel from Mr. Fleming, “Summertime Blues,” has been reviewed as a “bittersweet look back on the sixties and what it was like growing into a young man with the Vietnam War on the horizon” (Midwest Book Review). His next novel, “The Secret People,” based in Native American spiritualism and the Shamanic writings of Carlos Castaneda, is currently in production, followed by the trilogy, “Torus I”; “The Colony”; and “The Coming.” His Screenwriting credentials include completing the Specialized Studies Program in Screenwriting at the University of California, Irvine, with five feature-length film scripts. His screenplays have been marketed to Sony Pictures and Walt Disney Studios Pictures Marketing.
