About Stephanie

A Renaissance woman who uses the Arts to tackle social issues, foster the appreciation for cultural diversity, and create strong roles for women, and the under represented in theatre and film. I have 5 completed full length plays under my belt, 2 of which I produced, directed and adapted to screenplays and completed and now producing a trilogy of plays about "Women You Thought You Knew"; society's perceived "bad girls". The first play "The Grinder" had a staged reading in June, 2013 and had an amazing sold out workshop production May 28, 2014. The second, Swing Era drama, "Silk Stockings and a Bible" had a reading in May 2014, and will had its workshop production August 20th. The third play, a Disco Era drama, "Wild Child", had its reading in July 2014 and workshop production February 2015 to coincide with Chinese New Year. The second workshop production with a new cast was recently performed to ready for the full production of all three plays of the trilogy in one run in late summer 2016; a rare event. I re-mounted my Creole historical drama Off Broadway, which I acted in as well as directed and produced (see clip), as a dinner theatre event in July, 2013 with favorable reviews. Looking for more dinner theatre events and as well as a run Off Broadway in 2014. My Off Broadway supernatural mystery thriller, set in 1993 in Spanish Harlem, is in production since May as an independent feature film production. Think of "Carlitos Way" meets "The Believers" meets "Goodfellas". I produce and direct and have a cameo as a sassy barmaid, the character who dishes words of wisdom, as a spin off Youtube Channel "Charmaine Jones". I also have a documentary series yet to be completed (see clips). and have an online radio show which tackles social issues. I began writing play number 6, set in Ancient times and hope to finish it among the ancient ruins of Italy, and began writing a fictional novel about a middle aged femme fatale.

I will continue to walk the walk by creating engrossing stories that provide compelling roles for women and other under represented groups in theatre and film. My production company is fiscally sponsored by the mega Arts organization, Fractured Atlas.

Unique traits: Sultry voice, long legs, nice hands
