Ethan Bordman

Ethan Bordman is an entertainment attorney who represents authors, screenwriters, producers, directors, and actors, guiding them through the legal and business matters they face in bringing their dreams to the screen. He is one of the few entertainment attorneys who holds a Masters in Entertainment Law (from the University of Westminster) in London. He also consults on financial aspects of producing, advising filmmakers on financial incentives that many states offer to production companies.

Before starting his practice, Ethan was the Assistant Executive Director of the Detroit office of AFTRA (American Federation of Television and Radio Artists), a performers’ union that represents television and radio actors, broadcasters and recording artists. At AFTRA, Ethan worked on film and television projects with networks including ABC, CBS, FOX, CTV (Canadian Television) and Lifetime Networks.

Ethan has authored articles on entertainment and sports law in publications including the New York State Bar Entertainment Arts and Sports Law Journal, The New York State Bar Association Journal, The Washington Lawyer, The Chicago Bar Magazine, The American Bar Association Student Lawyer, The Detroit Law Journal, and Michigan Lawyers Weekly. He has also served as a panelist at several film festivals and has taught courses in Entertainment Law, Entertainment Contracts, and Copyright to both attorneys and law students.
