SYNOPSIS:

Moment of Madness They came from different parts of the city; she, from the Bronx, he, from Manhattan, fell in love and married too soon. Sandra, a police detective, tried to forget the men who were unfaithful in her past relationships, and a father leaving at a early age, but still developed surges of jealousy to a fault. A few weeks into the marriage, her husband Michael, was questioned by police about a possible murder of a British woman he had met on an airplane during a business trip. He told the police this woman called him earlier in the day, when she arrived in New York, to see a designer friend’s collection. But when he arrived at her hotel room, the designer and the collection were not there. The designer was at another appointment and would not be able to make it in time for their meeting. They had a drink and then he left. The next morning, the body of this British woman was found lying on her hotel bed. She died of suffocation. Ten days later, Michael and his buyer Helen, were invited separately to an engagement party. She was related to the future bride and he was a friend of the groom. His wife, Sandra had to work that night. Toward the end of the evening the future bride insisted that Michael escort Helen home because she came by herself and was drunk, and didn’t trust any of the other male guests. As they left the loft building, Sandra and her partner, Robin were just arriving in their car as they finished work earlier than planned to observe Michael entering a taxi with Helen. Sandra is convinced he’s about to cheat on her. The detectives followed the taxi but then receive a call from headquarters informing them of a robbery in the vicinity. They’re forced to respond. The next day, Helen does not show up for work; or the next. Concerned she did not call in to say she wasn’t coming to work Vince, a co-worker took it upon himself to find out why. As he approached Helen’s building, she is being carried into an ambulance; in a coma, barely alive. Michael’s past reputation as a playboy, coupled with strong circumstantial evidence, gave the police enough indications to point to him as the only suspect in the murder of the British woman and now the possibility of foul play with Helen. He was arrested and the court date was set. During the trial, Sandra, convinced of her husband’s innocence, along with sensing the jury leaning against him, decides to conduct her own investigation with the help of her partner Robin, who she secretly thinks is having an affair with Michael and possibly could be the murderer.
