Synopsis Title: June (Screenplay) Drama/Love/Dance Logline: A rejected dance celebrity takes dance lessons from a prolific maestro to revive his pinnacle however, he falls victim to an undesirable mess. Jun Ida, a tango celebrity in Japan who lives a high-profile lifestyle, often disregards his tango classes and his reputation suffers a huge blow from a false accusation. This drives him to find a new life in the homeland of Tango, Argentina. Life in Argentina isn’t what he foresees. Jun is rejected from numerous tango schools who claim his video does not have the essence of a true Argentine Tango. Laura, an avid volunteer worker Jun meets in Buenos Aires, finds him a good home owned by a compassionate couple. Jun meets his savior. An American owner of a small tango school hires him. The kind owner pulls strings and with his help, Jun gets the authentic Argentine Tango lessons with Nicolas (Nico) Velasquez, a prolific figure in Argentina known for his excellent technique and showmanship. Jun meets another rejection. Laura who often travels out of Argentina is not ready to accept Jun’s love. Unable to withstand the rejection, Jun retaliates. He goes for long visits to various parts of South America and stirs up a few headlines. Meanwhile, the tango school hires a stunning female tango instructor. Jun returns from his trip and is captivated by her. Nico is unhappy with the headlines and confronts Jun. During the fight, Nico disables Jun’s defense and Jun falls victim to Nico’s sexual desire. Jun is distraught and loses his pride to lead the dance. He suffers further exasperation as he is disqualified from a dance competition and the decision to defend Nico in court torments him. To avoid de trop conflict, Jun tells a lie. Laura returns from her voluntary work, while Jun prepares to return to Japan. Upon returning home after almost two years, friends and media are excited to see Jun perform in the grand manner as before, but he graces the small stage bringing the essence of the true Argentine Tango with his newly found life partner.
