Tonia Mishiali was born in Famagusta Cyprus in 1973. She went to a private English- speaking High School in Cyprus where she graduated in 1991. She then moved to Oxford in the UK to study Hotel & Catering Management only to find out that her true passion was directing. She proceeded to achieve a BA(Hons) in Media Production at the University of Bedfordshire in the UK where she graduated in 1997. She has been working as a director/producer in Cyprus since then. She has directed 2 short films, a number of theatre performances, TV shows, music videos and TV commercials.
She is now researching her first feature film, based on true events.
She loves photography and has won various awards in national and international photography competitions. She has also exhibited her photography work in various group exhibitions as well as in one of her own, called “Only one in colour”, in June 2010 in Nicosia, Cyprus.
