I am creative, imaginative, bright and enthusiastic.
Pursuing my interest in theatre for social change, I aim to generate the potential for audiences to make that change positive and concrete. I am currently undertaking a Theatre and Performance MA, at The University of Sheffield, focusing upon political and social engagement.
In 2009 I co-‐founded the community theatre programme The Rokeya Project and in 2010 I led a series of workshops in India to celebrate the life and work of humanist and revolutionary writer Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain (1880-‐1932). Collaborating with local people, the workshops created issue-‐based theatre about climate change, education, and female rights to encourage debate and discussion for students of all ages.
I feel strongly that we have a duty to help young people engage in the world; and that this learning process is a two-‐way experience.
My CRB status is up to date.
