Regardless of genre, filmmaker Jon S. Alon’s mission is to share stories of good versus evil, courage, resiliency, and human spirit rising triumphant over all human and circumstantial obstacles, achieving one’s impossible dreams.

Evangelist-Christian convert, tracing his proud 400-year Castilian-Sefardi family roots to Toledo-Spain & Algeria, Israeli born Jon S. Alon (aka Jon Stevens) grew up among Brooklyn-Sicilians as an immigrant teenager. High school dropout, Jon transformed into a self-educated graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (NYC), writer-producer of the Latino variety series ALGO ESPECIAL: VAYA! featuring the best NYC Puerto Rican & Cuban bands (Canal 47 Televisa), served as an ABC, Fox TV, MGM executive, wrote/produced Demi Moore’s debut feature film CHOICES. Jon directed the teen feature film OUT 2 LUNCH! (aka AMERICAN TEENAGER in Europe).

Entertainment industry veteran with 6 published books available on Amazon, Jon wrote-directed the SET IN the year 1997 but timely & relevant today exploring anti-racism, women, diversity, dysfunctional family, political corruption, military war vets themed “outrageous diversity satire” award winning 35mm feature film IRISH WHISKEY (theatrical trailer link: ) which he is self-distributing in domestic US theaters starting with a 2020 Long Beach, California (where the film was shot) media covered theatrical premiere (Coronavirus delayed date TBA). Upon completion of its smaller US cities theatrical release, the film will expand to larger city theaters starting in NYC, LA, etc., targeting Diversity, Women, African-American, Irish-American, US "Deep South" states and military war vets audiences.

Following its theatrical distribution, film will be released on US & 11+ English speaking foreign VOD platforms, and subsequently global VOD platforms, primarily targeting women.

Inspired by Lorca’s “Beauty of love; malice of jealousy” passionate flamenco theme, Jon will next direct the Bahia-Brazil, Broadway, Seville-Spain dance worlds set romantic-thriller QUEST based on his Amazon published DANCER FROM BRAZIL novel, saga of dancer Lara’s dangerous global quest for love and fame (DEMO: ).
